For laboratory construction projects utilizing the Guaranteed Maximum Price (GMP) approach, the DLS team can work with the general contractor or their sub-contractors to help them anticipate design aspects not yet defined on the construction documents. This type of consultation will mitigate conflicts involving cost and help keep construction on pace.

The DLS team can perform a value engineering (VE) review of your laboratory designs to analyze the project from a life cycle cost perspective with an eye towards achieving the ultimate objectives of the facility in a more cost effective manner.
