The construction process is a crucial element in the successful development of a high containment laboratory. In addition to securing the services of a qualified contractor, it is crucial to have an experienced biocontainment professional to manage or participate in the construction process as an advocate of the facility owner. Our CA services include: participating in construction coordination meetings, equipment submittal and shop drawing review, response to contractor inquiries including evaluating change order proposals, pay application assessments, periodic construction site observations, and commissioning coordination. Along with decades of Construction Administration (CA) experience, DLS also has the benefit of having a former CDC Select Agent (SA) inspector, a former SA Responsible Official, and a former CDC facilities engineer on staff to ensure your facility is being constructed in accordance with the construction documents and federal regulations, as applicable."
